100% Aus Shark Skin Chew

Ingredients: Shark's skin

  • High natural level of omega 3 and 6 which contributes to joint, skin and coat health

  • Nearly every chronic disease, from allergies and joint pain to diabetes and kidney disease, is caused by chronic inflammation. And chronic inflammation is caused by a diet that’s high in omega-6 fatty acids and low in omega-3 fatty acids.

  • Long-lasting chews keeps your pup entertained for longer while helping to clean their teeth

  • The skin is cut into larger square sections (then rolled up) and contains a thin layer of meat still attached on the underside. The meat is attached to the skin with a thin layer of sinew. The 3 layers within this treat provide an almost irresistible mixture of flavours and textures for your dog. This is a long lasting chew similar to what might be offered by traditional beef rawhide. Unlike beef rawhide however this shark skin does not go through the cleaning and sanitisation process so still retains its natural status. The downside to not undergoing the cleansing procedure however is that the product retains it's fishy odour, although your dog certainly won't find this a concern!! Fish treats are naturally high in protein and omega oils which may aid in the maintenance of a healthy coat and skin. Nutritional benefits may also be realised in the maintenance of joint health

  • Sharks? Are they endangered?!

All of our shark products are derived from either North Queensland Blacktip Sharks or Australian Gummy Sharks. They are both highly common sharks in Australia and are caught using sustainable practices in accordance with the Australian Fisheries Regulations. In addition, these sharks are deemed “Least Concern” by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature.

Please also note that the catches are mainly for human consumption. Treats are made from non-human consumption leftovers which would otherwise be discarded. The sharks are not caught just to use their skin for treats!
